About
Peter works from a former screening room on the Sony Pictures lot, alongside Eric Boulanger. He masters albums, EPs and singles for streaming, CD and vinyl, and cuts lacquers on Stan Ricker's old Neumann VMS 70 lathe, always at half speed.
After studying in Manchester and an internship at Ocean Way, he joined Metropolis Studios in 2008, working nights on reception, then making production parts and assisting John Davis. By 2011 he was mastering in his own right. He rebuilt Metropolis's half-speed cutting process and cut records for Oasis, The Rolling Stones, Amy Winehouse and Ed Sheeran.
He has talked about his work with Mix, MusicTech and iZotope.
